CUNNINGHAM SCHOLARSHIP
SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION
Elder Valarie Cunningham is the Executive Director of the GFM, the Synergy Center in Kalamazoo, Michigan. She has served in ministry as co-Pastor alongside her husband for the past 19 years and currently serves as an Ordained Elder. She is passionate about developing leaders for the church. Through this Scholarship, Elder Valerie advances her desire to continue to raise leaders for the church. The Cunningham Scholarship is administered by the Academic Board of the LEMA Institute. A total of five awards of $50 each will be given annually under this Scholarship.
ELIGIBILITY
To qualify the student must have successfully completed one year of academic study at LEMA. The student will be required to demonstrate need for financial support.
HOW TO APPLY
STEP 1: Complete the scholarship application. This can be done online HERE or manually through the application form available at the Study Centers.
STEP II: Type an essay in the text box provided on the application, explaining your goal for studying at LEMA, the challenges you may face, why you feel you deserve consideration for this scholarship and what your career/ministry plans are when you graduate. This essay can also be provided manually alongside the application form available through the Study Centers.
STEP III: Complete the Scholarship Recommendation Form or a letter of recommendation from a Pastor or an Elder who is familiar with your goals and needs
STEP IV: Submit your application online, together with the Essay online or manually at the Study Center Office.
APPLICATION DEADLINE
All applications for Cunningham Scholarship are to reach the office at least one month before the commencement of the academic year.
