About Easter time, bulbs buried in the fall begin to come back to life and trees begin to get green buds. Flowers begin the pop up, even as Birds out of sight throughout the winter begin to show up again. It is a season of beauty.
But the beauty of Easter lies not in the environment but in the hope that Christ resurrection rekindles in us; that faced with the pains of death, there will be resurrection; faced with despair and difficult situations, there is victory. So, we do not give up! We do not lose hope. The Lord Jesus assured us of this reality when he defeated death and rose again. The beauty of Easter lies in the new life that it promises, that all of God’s people will be raised to new life and will spend eternity with God in the new heaven and Earth.
Jesus said “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die" John 11: 25 -26
As we enjoy the beauty of new plants, new flowers and chirpy birds, may we celebrate Easter, rejoicing for the Victory that Christ has won for us. On Easter Sunday, he rose victorious from the dead, enacting a new life for us.
In this new life, we can count on the strength of God in our times of weakness, His grace and victory over our failures and his fatherly care in times of uncertainties. “Because He lives, we can face tomorrow”.
Have a blessed Easter Celebration!
